Trailer: Riddle Me This

Ella G. Productions has unveiled a trailer for their latest game show, Riddle Me This. It centers on riddles and elegies (a sort of riddle unto themselves), and combines family-friendly fun with deeply personal revelations from the contestants.

In promotion of the show, which is slated to debut later this year, Ella G. will also be reissuing the Exeter Book, the very work from which many of the show’s riddles are derived. The book was curious in that, while serving up over 100 riddles, it offered not a single answer, but Ella G. communications director Edward Williams says that that’s the point: “Why would we tell everyone the answers ahead of time?”

At yesterday’s press conference where he made the announcement and unveiled the trailer — which can be watched below — Williams also took questions, although he cut the Q&A session short after one particularly pointed inquiry: “But if the riddles never came with answers, how can you be sure that your answers are the right ones?”
